Monday's Minutes Challenge

Today I am doing them 'object prompt' and just the object prompt. *grins*

Objects: lock, fire, doll

Hope you like it.

I jump on the truck. The siren wails, people jump out of the way. But something’s not right on the inside
2437 Garmond Lane is too familiar to me.
But why should it?
None of the rest of the guys talk. Just like normal.
I repeat it in my head. Then it comes to me.
Jenna.
It’s Jenna’s house.
I swallow.
Her name repeats in my head. I try to remember little things about the girl. But I can’t.
But I never seem to find out much more about the girl. Except where she lives.
The truck turns a corner or two before her house. The smoke filled my nostrils.
I jump out of the truck along with the other guys. I run for the door. It’s locked. I struggle to chop it down with my ax.
When I’m finally inside, I run through the house calling her name. I dodge big pits of fire in the kitchen and what’s spread through the house.
“Jenna!” I yell.
She never answers.
Finally I find her inside one of the closets. She’s on the floor already breathed in too much smoke. I can see it in her face.
When she see me, she smiles.
“Come on, I’ll get you out. Is there anyone else in the house?” I start to pick her up.
She shakes her head ever so slightly.
On the way out, I see the doll she used to carry around everywhere. It had always seemed strange to me until my daughter had started doing it.
I carry her out and lay her near the grass. I can tell that it’s too late, she’s too far gone.
We try the oxygen anyway.

But while dying, she gives a last little smile to a world that’s been so cruel to her.

Brownie

On Saturday we received word that our dog in Papua, Brownie, was poisoned.

She left four three week old puppies. We're all really sad.

Our yard guy who lives next door is taking care of the puppies since Mama dog died. =(

Yah, so, it's kind of very hard for us. Especially since Brownie was poisoned. We've never had a dog die/disappear like that before. =(

These four pictures are of us with Brownie the day before we left. *smiles sadly*
This is when she was a little bitty puppy =)

And this is her sister Panther. =)

so yah we're really sad. My mom says we'll get a new puppy when we get back. I hope we get a fence on the one side of our yard that doesn't have a gate/wall/fence.

I hope Brownie had a good life. =)

Because of Papua {2}

--I talk Indonesian to flight attendants that are from America and Japan, and I don't even know it
--I only watch the Superbowl (but this year, i will be watching more than that!)
--I still say first, "I'll do the gate," only to discover, we don't have one. =P

--Music videos can be a pain in the rear when they load.
--I hate Wal-mart
--I'm surprised often at how half of the stores in the malls aren't shoe stores

--Book stores with books that I can actually understand are AMAZING
--I feel a little clueless about VBS
--I wish I could socialize more with some of same people

--Texas isn't hot (I'm serious over here)
--I traveled in a plane a lot (it's not as great as everyone seems to think when they've never been on one...)
--I love Indonesian songs, I don't care if they scream their brains out, they have their tastes, and Americans have theirs

--My baby brother can be considered orang Sundanese (search it)
--I sometimes greet people with a 'Hallo!' instead of 'Hello!'
--Sometimes when I greet Indonesians (that I know) I put my cheek to their cheek and then do it again on the other side. It's often how they greet each other =)

--I MISS THE NOISE
--I want real pineapple (the fresh stuff from my yard!)
--I want ambon bananas (I'm pretty sure that's the one i'm missing)

Hope ya'll enjoyed those! =) Tomorrow I will be posting a music video, but, it's kind of going to be different than the ones I usually post. ;)

Monday's Minutes Challenge

It's actually on Monday. Wasn't last week's as well...? Whatever. This week it's on Monday. *secretly celebrates*

This week i am using two prompts (yes, ONLY two). The picture and the prompt. (yay!)

PHRASE:  I opened the door, which would later be the worst decision of my life.

PICTURE:

My entry...

I waved down towards the ship. The handkerchief in the other hand falling to my side. The barely visible men waved back at me. I tried to smile, but I felt broken on the inside.
After I watched the ship—and the men—disappear, I turned to go home. Home. The last place in the world I wanted to be.
But I trudged froward. Knowing when I returned, it would be empty of the rowdy men I called my family.
It was only supposed to be a three week trip, but somehow it felt like it’d be much longer. Too long. I’d be drowned with the sound of silence, twirling some spoon for endless days.
But it was to be. So I continued to trudge towards my home. The inn. The now empty inn.
I continued on with those thoughts, reminding me I was still alone. That my “family” was away on an adventure without me. But of course “It is too dangerous for a woman”.
I’d have to show them. Somehow.
But how in this world are women supposed to find a way to show men that we can do things except by going with them on adventures?
I sighed. I sat down on a rock and leaned against the ledge behind me. When I thumped against it, I could tell of the hollowness behind it. I thumped it again with my slumped back, a smile forming.
I turned around and study the ledge. I see a crack that traces to be a door. I squint at it. Where would it lead?
Then an idea struck me right across the face.  This is how I could prove to the men that I could do things.

I opened the door, which would later be the worst decision of my life.

300 words. =) Hope ya'll like it. =D

How to Train Your Dragon 2 is AMAZING

I don't ever do reviews here, but this new movie is totally worth it

Look at them!! It's five years later. THEY'RE ALL GROWN UP. *sobs* my babies are all grown u-u-up.

So, a review:

Title: How to Train Your Dragon 2

Rate: 5 out of 5 stars

Age level: I have to say, that this one is kind of an older kid movie. Kind of, it's more emotional than funny. More serious than funny. And more sad than funny. (ok, it still is kind of funny. but there a lot of emotion)

Violence: Yah, there's some. There a war

What I thought before I watched it:

Ooh, ooh, this poster makes it look really cool. I have to watch it. THEY'RE ALL GROWN UP.

What I thought afffter I saw the movie:

Oh. My. Word. gnfjdkrtngvj. I have never watched something so heartbreaking. Apparently some shell over my heart broke away because I cried during this movie. I cried when I read The Book Thief. Some shell is GONE.

I think I drove Mary up the wall because I told her how sad it was, and she guessed that someone died (if you've seen it, don't tell her!! Sorry Mary) and I told her it was Astrid. I don't think she quite believes me. *shrugs* Wonder why

Anyway, yes someone dies. But, of all people, YOU. WILL. NOT. GET. IT. OUT. OF. ME. =) It's so sad. And how *beep* dies. *sobs all over again*

Ok, I was thinking that this would be a let downer because it was a sequel and the first movie was a ok-er for me.

This is the best sequel that I have ever seen. That my mom has ever seen. It's even better than the first movie (in my opinion).

My brother, John, was a bit disappointed when he found out what we were going to see, while I was a bit excited (just a bit). After we watched it, he liked it. =) Bravo on him.

So about the movie (besides how awesome I think it is).

Hiccup and Astrid are not married yet O.o (surprised by that). Snotlout and Fishlegs both "like" Ruffnut. (elleck) She does not like either of them. Tuffnut has dreads!!!!!!!!! (he's awesome ;) ) Stoick is growing old (you can see the gray/white in his beard). He's just as stubborn. Toothless is as cute as ever. Gobber is just as annoying as ever.

A couple characters join the fantastic list. But I won't give any spoilers.

So five years later is when it starts. Hiccup finds a new place and he finds people. Dragon catchers.

Um, I'm really bad at this. But anyway, there's a new character that I have to show a picture of. It's the way you first see 'em in the movie

Totally gives you the creeps, right?

Ok, so I think I'll stop there, because soon I'm going to have the whole movie in back and white (meaning i'm going to give away every single little detail). We had no idea we went and saw it on THE RELEASE DATE. The theater we went to was FULL. My parents were surprised. ;)

So, i just have to share some pictures, that don't give away. ;)

LOOK HOW FLIPPING AMAZING SHE IS
HE'S ALL GROWN UP
i want this and an iPhone
And i'll stop now... =)

hope you like it

Warm Hugs Tag!

I was tagged by my friend, Sarah, thank you so much!! =)

Rules:

1. Follow the blog that tagged you (optional)
2. Post 2 or more pictures that include your favorite characters, books, movies, or lyrics from songs. (They can also be your own edits or pictures)
3. Tag 5 or more bloggers and tell them.
4. Answer the blogger's ten questions related to characters, books, movies, or lyrics.
5. Create your own questions having to do with the same thing.

(surprised i made anna and elsa, right??)

1. Which fictional character relates/speaks to you the most?

Um, I can relate to anna's awkwardness all too well. ;) As in a character that speaks to me the most... um. That would probably be, uh. I dunno. Maybe (i'm not doing frozen things on PURPOSE) Olaf with the whole love thing. =)

2. What lyric from a song describes you the most? (or song, if that's too vague)

Oh, gosh, I dunno. =P

3. Whose character change is your favorite?

Elsa, defs.

4.  Has any kind of book or story made you realize something or changed your opinion about something?
The Bible definitely, *waves hands around* you know, that all men are sinful and no one can get to heaven on his own. But if you mean some other kind of book, then definitely The Book Thief made me change my opinion about Germans through the war. I thought they were all bad, but Papa made me realize something else

5. Which character death made you the most sad?
**DON'T READ THIS IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE BOOK THIEF** mama and papa's death made me CRY (literally)

Okay, on to the Disney Questions.

6. What is your favorite message in a Disney movie and why?
The love from frozen. i love how it wasn't prince love and all that. but it was sacrificial love between two sister (does that make any sense??)

7. Favorite song from a Disney Musical?
Uh, I dunno--never seen (or seen a video) a Disney Musical. But I think i've heard about a Frozen one--right? If so, if they have for the first time in forever--that would be it.

8. Favorite lyric from a Disney Musical song and why?
=P I still don't know =P

9. What are your two favorite songs from Frozen? (Because 'Let it Go' is a number one choice)
for the first time in forever and for the first time in forever reprise =)

10. If you could make a sequel to any Disney movie, which one would it be?
FROZEN 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (even though they ARE going to make another one)

My Questions:

1) Do you really think that Elsa and Anna's parents were still alive and just lived in the forest and then had Tarzan?
2)What about Anna, Elsa, and Rapunzel being cousins? Think that's right?
3)When they make a sequel to Frozen, who do you look forward to seeing most again?
4)What's your favorite lyric from Frozen?
5)Should Hans have a fire power like this pin:

6)Who's your favorite Disney guy?

7)How excited were you when you heard that Monster's University was coming out?
8)Are you more of a Anna, Elsa, or Rapunzel?
9)If you had an iPhone, how fast would you accept this iPhone case:
10)Do you like warm hugs?

I Nominate:

Mary @ Mary's Moments

Brooke @ Teen Words of Steel
and YOU if you want to do it!! =)

First Friends of Texas

Ok, the first family we saw in Texas were our friends from PAPUA. The ones we stayed with in the village!! =) We spent the afternoon with the boys while the parents went out for Mr. C's birthday and their anniversary. =) It was fun. Here's some pictures:

The boys didn't know that they were coming to our house until The oldest one looked through that mail slot there. ;)

They were still jet-lagged (as they had arrived the Sunday and this was the Thursday after. =)

Outside swinging (I know i'm retarded)

Aren't they cute?

Those are some pretty big pizzas. Like seriously, they're huge ;)

Aren't they adorable??

Jeremy went to Mrs. K right away!! =) She was happy

This birthday cake was SUPPOSE to be a surprise but he walked in while my mom was trying to hurry. So he was like, "Oh what a surprise!!" It was funny!! =)
We had lots of fun and we HAVE been having lots of fun in Texas!! =)

22-26 our church is going to have VBS and I'll be working with the toddlers!! YAY!! =D
