Presently....

This is a fun post that I saw Chloe do. :) And you kind of get to know Indonesia a little better. ;)

Seeing... the computer screen. ;)
Hearing... the saw meal
Smelling... fresh air. ;)
Tasting... nothing :P
Needing... to finish painted skies
Wanting... to be finished with painted skies
Feeling... myself popping my fingers (it's a bad habit that i can't do anything about)
Wishing... that painted skies was done
Thinking... that i should be writing painted skies
Laughing... frozen
Recovering... a snotty nose. :P
Believing... that Jesus does help people when they need it!!
Anticipating... my friends coming to watch frozen tomorrow after church! :D
Dreaming... going to america in april!
Praying... that our dog with get better
Reading... an outrageous  number of books, but loving most of all: the maid of fairbourne hall by julie klassen
Singing... waves of mercy
Wearing... favorite turquoise and yellow shirt and long gray shorts
Preparing... for soccer tomorrow...
Remembering... america three years ago...
Trying... to hurry with this post...
Questioning... why i haven't finished painted skies yet
Fearing... i won't finish painted skies!
Loving... papua
Googling... nothing
Choosing... to let jesus be in control over my dog
Working... on finishing painted skies ;)
Emailing... mary
Gluing... umm, nothing.
Texting... nothing
Cracking... my knuckles.....
Considering... why i'm not writing...
Turning... off the flashing image in my head that says i should be writing...
Reducing... the time i spend thinking about catrinity and jillison
Biting... the inside of my mouth... bad habit...
Longing... to watch frozen (ok, really it's writing...)
Suffering... not enough sleep...
Recognizing... i shouldn't be using my shoulders as much as i do
Checking... for emails... none...
Organizing... nothing, I'm a horrible organizer!
Practicing... writing blog posts and getting better at it, even when writing takes a lot of my time...
Reckoning... that I should finish this post!
Smiling... because painted skies exceeded its original goal of fifty thousand words, and still isn't finished--oops...

hope you liked that post, feel free to do it! :D

abrielle lindsay

i did it

i wrote that outrageous number of words, plus 44 more, in two days. I had to write 9,540 words in order to reach 50 by February 1st (today). *faints* and i made it, somehow. seriously, i don't see how i made it, with two familes of homeschoolers coming over for two hours on thursday and the moms thing, swim lessons, and friday night games, i think my fingers are threatening to fall off.

anyway, now painted skies has 50,044 words, and man catrinity, why can't you end your story there? she's really starting to act up *clucks tongue*

the only good part is, i'm closer to being finished than i was before. :D waaaay closer *sigh* it's nice...

Waves of Mercy

Every move I make, I make in You
You make me move, Jesus
Every breath I take, I breathe in You
Every step I take, I take in You
You are my way, Jesus
Every breath I take, I breathe in You.

Waves of mercy, waves of grace
Everywhere I look, I see Your face
Your love has captured me
Oh my God This love
How can it be

La la la la la la la,
La la la la la la la.

Village ||3||

Yah, yah, I stink at this. :P One other things before I begin, though!! I have to write (exactly) 9,540 words by tomorrow!!! In order to meet my "deadline" for Painted Skies. I doubt I'll make it, but hey, I can try, now, can't I?

Oh, One more thing, Tessa Emily Hall is giving away an ebook of the winner's choice by Alicia Willis!

Now. Village pictures:

Mrs. K is hanging some pipe-cleaners we made in cans so they'll turn into crystals.

Pretty piggie, right? ;)

We were supposed to NOT get our clothes wet. See how well that worked out?

This hut is AMAZING. No seriously, it reminds them that not all tradition is bad. The story is really cool.

There's no electricity in here, honestly. ;)

You know you've been in Indonesia for 3 years when...

...when a 12 year old girl asks how we got water in America. XD And then is told that we used the faucet.
Then she and her 10 year old brother exchange glances and gasp.

Yeah, that happened today, I was the twelve year old, John was the 10 year old. We were shocked that we drank out of the faucet. ;) It's practically against the law for expats here in Indonesia. ;)

America is gonna' be strange.

Monday's Minutes

   Every minute that passed was one minute closer to my worst nightmare. And one minute farther from the comfort I had always felt. Sandra's smirk curled her lip as she led me down the long white halls, my soon to be death walls.
   I pushed away the thoughts of death away, and instead thought of why I had taken Jonathan's place. Why Jonathan was not being led down these halls, closer and closer to the ever coming thought of darkness. It would close in all too soon.
   It was because I loved him. But he didn't see that. Jonathan didn't see that I loved him. He hadn't tried to stop me, to pry me away from the door. No; he had let me come. Without another word. After all, I was just his childhood friend, Kristi.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I really enjoyed that one! Thanks Tessa!! :D
Monday's Minutes
   "I never though I would find you here. Bekah, this is no place for you," My voice was about to shatter like glass. One more blow, and I would be in a heap.
   "No place--what about you? What are your parents doing at home now, when their beloved daughter is here," Bekah gestured to the shack behind us.
   "They're at home right now, wishing they weren't the parents of Melissa Honecorth." I crumpled to the ground, tears streaming down my cheeks.
This one was lots of fun! :)
Back-Cover Blurb
Ok. Finally going to write a back cover blurb for Painted Skies--my latest work-in-progress (or for you writers out there: WIP). :/ Kinda nervous.... But, here is the cover that my friend Journey Lillian made:
SO. Painted Skies is still in the first draft state and will need some major edits. :P Something I for one, do not look forward to--though I guess I should. :/ Painted Skies's genre is Sci-Fi, and I'll admit, it's probably not great. :P The first draft is supposed to be 50,000 words, but I will not be surprised if it surpassed that goal. Considering that she is only ten days into her journey and there is already nearly 30k in the book. *shakes head* Catrinity is a tough character sometimes, but I still enjoy her and sacrifice my reading time to try and get her life under control! :P And blogging time... Anyway. The blurb:
What would you do if you were the one to cause your city's color to fade and die away?
   Kalcastor, Catrinity is one of the three reasons that color drained from her world six years ago. But she can't get out of the hole and live in the now.
   When her friend Manic has disappeared and his cousin, Karina, is on her knees in front of Catrinity begging her to find Manic, Catrinity takes on the challenge. Only to be captured by an old friend.
   The only way to save Manic is to find her city's box of color... in 100 days. Catrinity accepts and sets out immediately--only to soon find out the days have been cut to fifty.
   Having no idea where this box could be, Catrinity is growing more and more worried. Can she find it and save her friend? Can she give her beloved city its color back?
Ok. That needs to be revised majorly, but that's pretty much what the book is about.
I've really done it now...
And this isn't going to be as much fun as NaNoWriMo... :/ Hold it. I've signed myself up for two writing things in the same month. *shrugs* At least I can do them as the same thing. Wanna know what I will be doing in March and April?
||Source||
DOOM takes place from March 1st to April 30th. In a way it's like NaNoWriMo, except you're writing 50k in 61 days. Which means you only have to write 820 words a day, much easier than NaNo. :) Plus, you don't have to write a first draft! :D It could be a second draft or something like that. :D Which will be what I am doing. I'll be writing my second draft of my NaNo novel. :D
||Source||
Annd, then there's NaNoEdMo. Something that I'm not as excited about. :P During March, I have to edit for 50 hours. 50. Five zero. At least it's in March and not April, if it were in April, I wouldn't be able to do that, because I leave for America in April and would never finish 50 hours. :P
So. Wanna join me? Click the source buttons and you'll soon find yourself signing up or finding out more. :D
The Village ||2||
The pilot took his hands off the controls. ;)
This is all of the kids :D
Mrs. K was doing something that was kind of related to the Jesse Tree, but she made it and every night we went through the whole Bible. :) Haha, just kidding. But we went through a lot of the stories--it was fun! :)
This guy came the first night we were there with that in his finger. :P All the adults went to work on it. *shudders* They finally got it out.
 Hope ya'll liked those! :D BTW, I'm going to sew more today! And I need to take some pictures of what I've already done....
Home from the Village
Surprised right? Haha. Um. Well. I've tried not to post this for a while, because it's gonna take ages to get all the pictures up. So, now until whenever I get this thing done, I'll be posting a couple pictures everyday--this could last a lifetime. :)
SO. Picture Time.
See the river behind them? They're either riding it down there to PNG, or they came up there.
Better picture of the river. :) The boys bathed there (?!?) for two nights. The girls just swam for fun...
It's amazing! Jeremy was very happy with Mrs. K! :D
About to go!
I think this is the river from above... Maybe a different one...
Who greeted us. :) The family's, whom we stayed with, son is the white kid there. ;)
These chairs were awesome, and hard to get out of. ;)
Ok, probably no pix tomorrow--being Sunday, but there should be some on Monday.
BTW, Frozen's DVD release date is MARCH 18TH!!!! I can't wait!! :D
Every Word He Spoke was a Lie
Every word he spoke was a lie...
How would you continue the story? This was the prompt from the most recent GTW Writing Contest. It had to be 107 words or less. I ended with 86 words. I also turned out to be a finalist.
So, here is my entry:
   Every word he spoke was a lie.
   They had led me to this place—this dark, dark lonely place. Where rats played the role as my companions and the fleas were my friends.
   I lifted my head to the barred door, and peered through the dim light. He stood there, silently shifting from one foot to the other, staring at the hard, cold ground.
   “This is my fault,” His whispered words drifted to my corner. “Entirely my fault…”
   Never could I agree more with a man.
Would you continue reading? I think I want to continue writing this story... it's sounds like fun. :)
Monday Minutes
Click this picture and you can enter too! Even if you don't have a blog!!
   I could not believe who the new kid was. My voice caught in my throat when she entered the room. One glance and I was a goner.
   Keeping my head low, I adjusted my blue ball cap, making sure the ginger hair that covered my forehead wasn't pushed aside. I dug my hands in my pockets deeper and blocked out Ken's voice altogether. Looking at the floor, I saw her walk by me--but she said nothing. Good. Maybe that meant she hadn't seen me.
   When it was time for class to begin, I took my spot, but looked up when Ms. Hardthrop called, "Justin, please lift your cap up some, it would be best if I could see your face," Her smile was the normal one, but it didn't feel like it. Especially when I heard the gasp behind me when my name was called.
What do you think? This is my Monday Minutes Challenge this week. :) I might have gotten a new spark. My second spark where a boy is the M(ain)C(haracter). :) Do you feel interested in this story? Would you read on?
Frozen
So. You've probably already guessed that I've seen Frozen. We watched it at the new theater in the city. Going to the city was WORTH IT. Seriously, Frozen is the greatest movie that Disney ever made. Ever.  Here's a picture of us at the theater:
Not the greatest pix, but this is the best of the two. :/
NOW. For the things from Frozen. :) Pinterest is a lovely thing. (That's where all the pix come from,)
DO NOT READ THIS POST UNLESS YOU HAVE SEEN FROZEN, I LIKE SPOILERS. :)
Elsa and Anna
LOL
Oh my word!! LOL XD
I can't help the ginormous pictures. :)
Oh! This part!! So sad!!
*GRINS*
Do You Wanna Build A Snowman?
I have to close this down soon. :( But I have a couple more pix I would like to share. :)
But really
LOL
Ok. It had to come to an end sooner or later. :( For me it was too soon. I could've gone on and on with the pictures and you literally would have just stopped reading. ;) The last two pictures are below (wow, bet you didn't see them!). If you went through these all, congrats! :)
Monday's Minutes Challenge--Christ is Write
This is a challenge that I am going to take on!! :/ Every Monday Tessa Emily Hall *click link for blog* is going to post a Minutes challenge. :) I'm super excited and hope to do so! :)
**Click the picture and be taken to Tessa's post**
   I never imagined my new year would begin this way...
   But it did. Now what do I do? Run for it? I couldn't do that. They might find me. And if they did, I would put everyone in danger--not one soul would be saved if I let them find me. It was all up to me.
   There was just one thing: How much longer could I keep up with this?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

New spark!! ;)

Please Read

Please, please, pleas take the time to read this post from THSC. A judge in Texas removed children from a home for no reason--no good reason. They are trying to get them to stop homeschooling. I'm mad at these people. Like, literally mad. I beg you to take the time to read it, sign the petition, and share it.

Read it here.

Thanks,

Youth Group December 2013

In December my parents did youth group--with my friend's family. It was December and there were only 11 kids (including me) total that showed up. We had fun anyway with two games my mom found on Pinterest (links included). It was really fun and I enjoyed having the smaller group. ;)

The game we were to play (Chocolate Unicorn) was being explained

Chocolate Unicorn was tons of fun. In one minute we had to see how many Oreos we could stack on our heads.

Boys' team.

Me, I was trying not to smile. My friend (my partner standing there) is always making me giggle.

The Sentence Game was a lot of fun, and we turned out with some hilarious endings.

We had s'mores, even though it was seriously raining. *ahem* I had a s'moreo. ;) Marshmallow and chocolate inside of an Oreo. YUM

Listening to the lesson

It was fun! ;) Even though the rain ruined our first plans. :/

Oh, and my friend, Margret, and her family came out of the village today!!! :D We're having them over for supper and i'm super excited!! :D It's so good to see her again! ;D
