happy birthday john =)

Recently it was John's birthday. =) He turned 11 and had an awesome birthday party! =) I'll post pictures of that soon. ;)
He's been begging me to post some of the tobyMac songs below. ;) So behold, part of his b-day present from me are all these tobyMac songs. ;) I'll post some on Sundays soon with the lyrics and all that, right now, it's just the video. ;) Plus there is Live with Abandon by Newsboy at the bottom. ;)

APRIL??!?!

I'm sorry, does the calendar say that today is April 2nd? I'm not sure.

Below is what is going to happen the rest of this months. =) Hopefully blogging and writing can nudge their way in there. ;)

We're doing the packing thing right now. =\ Yesterday, we packed everything we wanted in our backpacks for the plane ride from Papua to America.

Mine weighed 2 kilograms (kilos), about 4.4 Ib.

Some things that are contained in my backpack are:

 -The Hobbit

 -The Fellowship of the Ring

 -The Two Towers

 -Journal (in case I get writer's inspiration)

 -Eight pens ;)

 -I don't care if I'm 12, I stuffed two stuffed-animals in my backpack ;)

 Aaaand, I think that might be all. =) 2 kilos even. ;)

Saying goodbyes will probably start Sunday ='( I don't want to go to America, but I do want to go. DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE???!

I don't want to leave all my friends here, leave what I've known for three years straight to go to America, or pack.

Though I do want to see all of my friends and family in America, I do want to travel (call me crazy!), and I do want to eat some really good food! ;)

This trip in America should be awesome. =) Hopefully, it will be. ;)

Monday's Minutes Challenge

Today I am going to do the phrase: It was the scariest thing I would ever face... but I also knew it was only my chance to find freedom. 271 words. =)

It was the scariest thing I would ever face... but I also knew it was only my chance to find freedom.

So I stepped onto the swaying bridge. Looking ahead, I could see the red eyes flashing back at me. I held my breath and took another step.

I reached for the rope on the side, but it disappeared. I gasped and looked at the other side, the rope was gone there too. I froze, and slowly looked behind me.

Slowly, each plank I had passed disappeared. I looked in front of me, were they disappearing too?

This all seemed like the fairy tale Mother used to tell me every night. The fairy tale about the girl with a big fluffy “princess dress” who ran away thinking that what was on the outside of the castle was better than the inside.

She ran and ran until she came to the bridge and had to make a choice—to give up or keep going. She decided to keep going. But after each step, the plank behind her disappeared.

I shivered all over, she somehow had made it to the end, but then was taken as a prisoner.

Instead of walking the rest of the way, I ran to the red eyes. When I reached the end, I looked up at them.

They cackled endlessly, they grabbed me when I tried to run. My throat clogged up. I shook all over.

It seemed like the walked for hours before they threw me into a pit of come sort.

“No, please,” I screamed.

“I’m no longer the only one here, am I?”

I froze.

Monday's Minutes Challenge

Today I will be continuing this prompt I did a few weeks back. 226 words. =)

My face burned with scratches and bruises, but I couldn’t let them get me. I had to push through, I had to keep going.

Where was Trinity? Surely she had seen me when those cold fingers had slid across my face. Surely she had noticed the old door creaking.

But. A new thought struck. What if she had ignored the noises? What if she had seen those three guys tie me up?

And what if she had ignored that her only sister was getting kidnapped?

I breathed deep breaths. What happened when I ran out of strength to go on? Was I just going to have to slow down and let them kidnap me?

Why did they even want to kidnap me? What had I ever done? What could I do?

Nothing.

Another thought entered my mind, what if Trinity had set me up? She knew that if she challenged me, I would be up for it.

Why did I do things like that?

Take on a challenge without thinking about consequences? Tears started to stream down my face, but the branches slapped them away.

What if I never saw Mom again? Or my cousins? Or the rest of my family? What would I do?

Trinity apparently didn’t want me. So, why would I want her?

I sighed.

Because she used to save me from everything.
