catch up {2}

First off, the pictures came out in opposite order as I wanted, so these are the more recent pictures.
This was Mother's Day. We went to Outback with my parents' friends.

This is Mother's Day after church =)

I was joking around that morning and pretending to eat the candy that Jenny had given to our mom =)

On Wednesday, we went to a park in Orlando with the people that my parents were training with for the week (the kids went to classes) =D This is John and his friend in the "root beer" lake (it was that color) =)

This is me. =)

The flowers my dad bought for my mom for Mother's Day

Jeremy LOVES Hershey chocolate =)

We're in the lake =D The girl farthest in is my friend for N.C. =)

Jeremy did NOT want to touch the water what so ever. =)

Yes, he's crying

I have no idea what he is eating/trying to eat, but I thought it was a pretty cute pic ;)

These are friends in Florida from my mom and dad's church there. =) Had a fun day at the park with them and some other families!! =)

We were eating ice cream at the house we were staying at. =)

This is the apartment we staying in for the past week (we're not there any more)

Friend at the park, plus Jeremy holding onto my mom's legs

John tricked Buzz into thinking there was a alligator in the pond at the park (not the one we went to with our training classes)

This is our extended-ed family (my Granny's sister/my dad's aunt and cousins and all there kids) we ate at Cracker Barrel for dinner =)

We also ate there earlier that morning for breakfast with some friends. After Breakfast Mr. M said to me, "Abrielle go tell your siblings they can choose anything that's under $5 and you only have ten minutes to do it," So we all got a little something for the road =)

This is my great uncle (and mom ;) ) We got to visit for the afternoon in Georgia

We also watched my great uncle's grand kids sing in their choir--this is the youngest boy. He was so much fun! ;)

We had a cookout recently!! =D

My aunts got Joseph!! =D

My cousin was trying to teach me volley ball. Um, for now, I'll stick with soccer

He loved the cake, he hated the ice cream ;)

There was a Minion pinata, it was SO CUTE =)

My uncle sang in church two weeks ago. =) It was awesome!!

My cousin was baptized that day also! He said that he was done with his sin (or something like that)

We ate at Taco Bell!! =D

We met some friends after we had been trying to meet them for over a year now!! It was an awesome afternoon!! Jeremy did not have fun in the picture, obviously =\ (and for reference, they have 7 kids)
So anyway, those are all of the pictures that are uploaded. =) I'll share some more soon!! =D

Monday's Minutes Challenge

I am going to do the picture prompt AND the sentence prompt.
Here is the sentence prompt: I'd told myself I would never come back here again... yet here I am.
And the picture:
Isn't it gorgeous??? =)
I'd told myself I would never come back here again... yet here I am. I hold the lantern up, waiting. Watching.
I stand in the boat, the water surrounds me. I watch for any glimpse of life.
He has to come. But, he never does.
I sigh. What if he tried to trick me all those years ago saying that he’d come? That he’d come back and be here for me?
I lower the lamp just a bit, my hope was only a flicker now. But I had to keep waiting, keep watching for a glimpse of him.
He said so many years ago he’d come. He also said it’d be on a night like now. Where the moon is full, the water crystal, and the stars shine like never before.
I hear a rustle in the distance. Could it be?
I stare all the harder into the forest that is at the edge of the water. Is he finally home?
I do not dare whisper the word that I long to say.
But, then I hear the rustle come even closer to the water’s edge.
My eyes widen. It has to be.
I cannot hold it back any longer, “Papa?”
The whisper shakes the silence—the rustle too. It stops.
Please, no.
I hear the rustle start again after many moments. But this time it is so slow, as if someone drags themselves to the edge.
I bring the lantern up to my face. Please.
I finally see a figure at the water’s edge, “Cynthia?”
I smile. It has to be Papa.
“Papa!” I shout.
I row the boat as fast as I possibly dare. When I jump out, I don’t see him. Anywhere.
“Papa?”
An arrow slices the air, inches from my face.

“Your papa’s dead, Cynthia.”

Hope you like it!! =)
